KFU contributes to the Russia-Iran Energy Business Forum in Tehran
The forum took place from 17 to 20 May.
The event featured an agreement signing ceremony between KFU and Iran’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI). Present at the signing were Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Alexander Novak and Minister of Oil of Iran Javad Owji.
The sides had already signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2022, and the agreement serves as a continuation of reached understanding between the sides.
KFU representatives toured Iran University of Science and Technology, Sharif University of Technology, and held negotiations with local businesses.
Head of the delegation, Chair of the Department of Petroleum Engineering Mikhail Varfolomeev commented, “During a B2B session of the forum, we discussed issues of petroleum industry for both countries, including enhanced oil extraction, oilfield chemicals, and modeling, with local universities and research centers.”
The forum featured 27th Tehran Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhbition, where many companies showcased their products and technologies. Among the participants were businesses from Iran, China, South Korea, Turkey, and many other countries, with Russian companies having their own expo hall.
