Institute hosts Practice Geochemistry 2023 conference
The forum, held on 18 May, was co-organized by Gazpromneft, Geoindicator, and CdoGEO. Among the participants were Tatneft, BashNIPINeft, Strata Solutions, Schlumberger, Okhtin-Oil, Sheshma Oil, Ufa State Petroleum University, All-Russian Research Institute of Petroleum, Ufa University of Science and Technology, Tyumen State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, and others.
The conference was opened by Institute Director, Vice-Rector for Earth Sciences Danis Nurgaliev, who spoke about the University and its priorities and touched on geochemistry research at KFU. “Geochemistry has become an important tool in the oil and gas industry, as many high-precision instruments have emerged that can measure various geochemical characteristics. This factor has opened up opportunities for creating technologies and research that increase the efficiency of prospecting, exploration and production of oil. I wish all participants of the conference to get an impulse for new ideas, meet reliable partners and have a great time,” said the Director.
A plenary session on geodynamic modeling was then held, which featured reports and discussions on AI in modeling, isotope analysis, molecular analysis, and other topics. A roundtable on staff training also took place, where the sides were familiarized with CdoGEO’s advanced training programs and digital deposit simulators. Among other topics raised at the conference were non-traditional deposits, geochemistry in prospecting, and others.
