KFU discussed cooperation with Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi

Khalifa University, a leading higher education institution in engineering and technology in the United Arab Emirates, was visited by Mikhail Varfolomeev, Director of the Small Tonnage Chemical Technology Park, Associate Professor of the Department of Petroleum Engineering.
In particular, Khalifa University is known for its standing in petroleum science, currently ranked 7th in QS Subject Rankings in Petroleum Engineering.
“This state university, established by order of the UAE President, conducts research and trains personnel in various areas, including chemical and oil and gas technologies,” said Mikhail Varfolomeev. “A meeting was held with the management and staff of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Technology. We discussed issues of scientific and technological cooperation with Khalifa University. I presented information about the developments of Kazan University in oil and gas technologies, as well as about the Technology Park. Colleagues from the UAE, in turn, presented their university and priority areas of activity related to the development of oil fields, oilfield chemistry, utilization and storage of greenhouse gases, as well as hydrogen energy. We were also able to get acquainted with the laboratories of the university and discuss further joint steps in enhanced oil recovery and specialized chemistry for the oil and gas industry”.
According to the scientist, his talks on cooperation with representatives of the management of the Department of Chemical and Oil and Gas Technologies of Khalifa University were a continuation of the meeting with the president of this university, His Excellency Professor Ibrahim Al Hajri, held in November last year at the ADIPEC Summit.
