Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies takes the baton in gifting study kits to first-graders

Institute Director Danis Nurgaliev held the event on 30 August.

Institute employees whose children enter elementary school this year visited the Institute to receive presents.

Senior Lecturer Artur Fattakhov spoke about his daughter, “Amira enters first grade this year, and my wife and I are joking that we are actually excited more than she is. When I went to school many years ago, I definitely wasn’t as riled up as I am today. I am glad that the University arranges such an event. We as parents feel the support and the care.”

Director Nurgaliev asked the kids who they’d want to be when they grow up. Apparently, the selection is quite wide, with future doctors, artists, cooks, and even oilers present.

The Director reminisced on his early school years, “I only spoke Tatar in my childhood. When I went to first grade, it so happened that our teacher only spoke Russian, so at first we didn’t even understand each other. In your school experience, I wish you to find new friends, enjoy your studies, and learn many new and interesthing things. And when finish your eleven-year run, enroll in the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies.”

After that, each child received a backpack filled with schoolwork necessities.

The first such meeting this year was held by Rector Lenar Safin.
