KFU visited by delegation of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences of Oman

The team was led by Dr. Hassan Aideed, Assistant Vice-Rector for Electronic Services and Student Affairs at the UTAS Salalah campus.

At the Kazan University History Museum, the guests, including students from of UTAS, enjoyed a tour and a meeting with KFU leadership to become familiar with the educational institution.

Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, participated in the event, presenting information on the university’s development, academic structure, strategic priorities, projects, and the implementation of primary and secondary education programs. Danis Nurgaliev, Vice-Rector for Earth Sciences, welcomed the delegates as well.

Andrey Teryokhin, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies; Ruslan Galiakhmetov, Deputy Director for International Affairs at the Institute of Management, Economics, and Finance; and Dmitry Tumakov, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Information Technology, spoke about their institutes.

UTAS and KFU signed a cooperation agreement in 2024, a memorandum of understanding on student exchange, and a research collaboration agreement in 2025.

Six Omani citizens are currently studying at KFU. Another 15 students participated in the Summer University 2026 project.

Following the meeting, the guests visited the Shtukenberg Geological Museum and the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies.
