Talks held with Uralchem Innovation
A visit to the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies and the Institute of Chemistry took place on 19 June.
Of special interest to the guests were KFU labs’ capabilities to scale up production of chemical products, from catalysts to polymers and composites.
The delegation spoke about catalyst production and oilfield products with the Head of Enhanced Oil Extraction and Oilfield Chemistry at the Center for Liquid Hydrocarbons Mikhail Varfolomeev. He comments, “Kazan Federal University has certain experience in working with raw materials produced by Uralchem Corporation. Interaction between the university and the corporation will help the company to create a new product line. During the meeting we also discussed the prospects of cooperation in modification of the company’s products for the development of chemical compositions for the oil and gas sphere.”
Director of the Center for Advanced Training of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies Ildus Chukmarov then presented the Center’s programs to Uralchem employees.
