Ameen Ahmed Al-Muntasser wins Young Researcher of the Year award from Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum

The award was given away during the recent 4th Kazan Global Youth Summit (27 – 30 August).

This is one of the six awards of its kind sponsored by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation; the others are Entrepreneur of the Year, Media Leader of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Cultural Professional of the Year, and Social Project of the Year.

Ameen Al-Muntasser, Research Associate of the Laboratory of Generation, Storage and Transportation of Hydrogen and Energy Carriers with Low Carbon Footprint, has authored over 95 papers and has taken part in 22 international conferences, including SPE, EAGE and ADIPEC. He is currently in the finishing stages of preparing his PhD thesis in oil chemistry.

The awardee has partaken in 19 research projects, including 17 where he was the main responsible side.

Among Al-Muntasser’s awards are Presidential Scholarship of Russia and Rosneft Scholarship, various awards from Kazan Federal University.

He also serves as a peer reviewer for Fuel, Energy Conversion and Management, Energy & Fuels, Geoenergy Science and Engineering.

The 4th Kazan Global Youth Summit was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, KFU, Government of Tatarstan, Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum. The co-organizers were the Movement of the First, the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, and the Youth Center of Tatarstan.
