Vice-Rector Danis Nurgaliev speaks with Regional Director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers in Russia and the Caspian Region Aleksey Borisenko

They were joined by Deputy Director of IGPT for Continuing Education and Industrial Partnerships Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director of IGPT for Research Pavel Krylov, Deputy Director for Marketing of Gazpromneft-KFU Center Vladislav Sudakov, and Chairman of the Student Research Society of Petroleum Engineers of KFU Radmir Bakhtigaraev.

Talking about SPE, Mr Borisenko noted that the organization unites experts from over 140 countries and aims to collect and disseminate knowledge in petroleum science and industry.

The two sides agreed to organize information events, and the guest then proceeded to visit the Institute’s labs and the Shtukenberg Geological Museum.

After that, the visitor met with students, noting, in particular, “It’s my first visit to Kazan as the regional director, and now I have a very favorable impression of Tatarstan, Kazan, and your Institute’s students and teachers. The University has amassed some unique experience in developing the local SPE student chapter and fostering future leaders of the oil industry. They have multiple opportunities to find themselves in research, engineering, and social life. I want to wish you success and further growth of your professional community in Kazan.”
