Center for Advanced Training student Zhou Kejiang shares his study experience
This spring semester, our Center for Advanced Training welcomed two students from China University of Petroleum (East China). They enrolled in an individual training program called Applied Petroleum Geosciences.
During the several-month training period, the two students completed assignments under the guidance of project coordinator Boris Platov and attended classes at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies. The curriculum included seismic interpretation and geological modeling, among others.
One of the students, Zhou Kejiang, readily agreed to share his learning experiences.
The center’s head, Deputy Director of the Institute for Continuous Education and Industrial Partnerships Ildus Chukmarov, explained, “We are very pleased to expand our cooperation with overseas universities and warmly welcome international students to participate in our retraining programs. They will have the opportunity to quickly learn about Russia, Kazan, and Kazan University. They can learn the latest and most advanced knowledge and skills on the campus of Kazan’s oldest university – formerly the Imperial Kazan University, later renamed Ulyanov-Lenin Kazan State University. The opportunity for students to receive retraining in Kazan, while completing core courses will undoubtedly contribute to the further deepening of cooperation between Russia and other countries.”
