Summer University participants learn about travel destinations in Russia

Students attended a lecture titled Discovering Russia: Unique Travel Destinations organized by the Russian Knowledge Society.
Svetlana Khusnutdinova, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Geographical and Environmental Education, emphasized in her talk the unique feature of our country – its diversity.
“We live in the largest country in the world, incredibly rich and scenic. I tried to focus on Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan because our region is remarkably beautiful, distinctive, and unique. It is located in the very center of the Russian Federation,” Khusnutdinova noted.
The interactive part of the event included a test that determined participants’ traveler types. It turned out that among the Summer University participants there were both fans of extreme tourism and admirers of resort-style vacations.
“I had never been to Russia before. But thanks to this project, I now feel a desire, in addition to Kazan, to visit Saint Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. I want to experience the true grandeur of the country,” shared Nurai Aituganova from Kazakhstan.
Summer University includes several tracks and is implemented in cooperation with various partners.
